Dear Formula SAE Community,

I hope that all are well enjoying the long weekend and as we approach census date, are coping with their study loads. I'm excited to share some significant developments from this week as our team continues to grow and evolve.

Team Expansion:

Our leadership team has been diligently working on inducting all new members into the team. This process has undergone several revisions to ensure that we provide the best training possible and create a supportive environment for integration into the team.

I'm thrilled to announce that our team has grown to 73 members, a substantial increase from our previous count of 27. This growth is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team members. To accommodate all Western Sydney University students with study and work commitments during the week, we'll be hosting another Information Session this coming Sunday before the Japanese Grand Prix.

Recognition in Student Experience & Marketing March Update:

The team was recently showcased in the Student Experience & Marketing March Update under the title of "The Rise of Student Clubs." This recognition highlights the vital role that Student Clubs play in our university, bringing energy and connection not only to our campuses but also to the wider community.

The standout example highlighted in the update is Western Sydney Formula SAE. They write that our journey to success involves forming a team to compete in Formula SAE-A open-wheeled racing, covering petrol, electric, and driverless competitions. In addition to our competitive spirit, we also engage in volunteer work, hosting Boosted Juices as part of the Student Community Free Breakfast Program at Kingswood Campus.

Our impact extends beyond the university; major entities like the NSW Government Chief Scientist & Engineer recognize our achievements. Western Sydney Formula SAE and our university are prominently featured in the STEM Student Competition Sponsorships Program Guidelines.

Moving Forward:

Despite facing significant delays in transferring documentation platforms, procurement processes, and onboarding procedures, our executives have worked tirelessly to pivot the direction of the team towards a more prosperous future. Their dedication and resilience in overcoming obstacles are truly commendable.

Let's continue to support each other and strive for excellence as we navigate through challenges and opportunities. Together, we will achieve great things and make a lasting impact in the world of Formula SAE.

Stay tuned for more updates, and I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.

Best Regards,

Bowen Fucile
